Last night, as promised, the HKUST MSc in Business Analytics hosted the Masterclass in Business Analytics presented by Professor Carlos Fernández-Loría. This captivating event was attended by a diverse group of active participants from various backgrounds. Carlos skillfully demonstrated how analytics can be approached from a business-first perspective, fostering engaging discussions with the audience. I was thoroughly impressed by the participants' responses, comments, and thought-provoking questions, which contributed to the vibrant energy in the room. The networking session that followed was equally lively, with interviews conducted in multiple languages.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Carlos for delivering an exceptional performance and effectively showcasing what our MSBA program has to offer. Additionally, I thank Marcela Barrios León and the MSBA team for tremendous efforts in organizing, interviewing, and coordinating this event. Furthermore, I would like to extend my thanks to all the participants for making this event truly epic. Stay tuned for future video releases.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Lancelot and the MSBA program for giving me the valuable opportunity to revisit Professor Carlos' class!

The vigorous discussions that took place during the session have significantly broadened my perspectives on problem-solving in business analysis. Among the courses I have taken in the MSBA program, Big Data Analysis stands out as one of my favorites. Professor Carlos's dynamic teaching style has not only equipped me with the skills to leverage data for problem analysis but has also enabled me to apply advanced AI techniques from large-scale models to real-world investment projects during my internship.

I am immensely proud to have the privilege of being a student in the MSBA program and having the opportunity to participate in Professor Carlos' class. It is truly an honor to learn from such a knowledgeable and experienced professor.
