MSBA Enrichment Talk: The emerging Gender Gap in AI Use Challenges, Implications, and Personal Reflections
We were honoured to welcome Ms. Lily Cheng, our MSBA Corporate Advisory Board Member, for an inspiring enrichment talk on 8 April 2025. Students from both the HKUST MSc in Business Analytics and HKUST MSc in Information Systems Management programs joined the session.
Moderated by MSBA student Prachi Jhaveri, the interactive conversation covered Ms. Lily Cheng’s dynamic career journey across tech, consulting, and board leadership, her deep dive into AI, and her reflections on the emerging gender gap in AI usage. Students gained valuable insights on navigating career transitions, embracing continuous learning, and the importance of domain expertise in the age of AI.
Ms. Lily Cheng also shared practical advice on building AI-powered tools, managing work-life integration, and how women and all professionals can leverage AI to enhance productivity and stay competitive.
